For the year ended July 2025 our total server hosting carbon footprint was 0.984 MTCO2e

Our office carbon footprint, including flights/driving/refuse is 6.7 MTCO2e

We have purchased offsets from CarbonClick: 11.9 MTCO2e

This leaves us with spare offsets.

Estimating our usage

The carbon footprint of our hosting services, was determined by using either a carbon report provided by the data center, or requesting a report of our electricity usage, and determining our carbon footprint from that usage. One of our data centers are committed to reducing their environmental footprint using solar panels on the roof, but they were unable to reconcile how much that contributed to our own rack space. 

The carbon footprint for our office, driving, flying, rubbish, etc was calculated with an estimation tool from CarbonClick. In actual fact we use 100% renewal energy from Mercury Energy, and drive an EV. So our actual footprint is much less than what is estimated. 

Our team mostly work from home, reducing their footprint by not commuting to work. 

We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and accounting for, and offsetting remaining carbon emissions.
